Solutions

Every process the part needs. One accountable route.

Shops sell the processes they own. GovFab selects the process the requirement demands, then routes production to a facility accredited to run it.

Manufacturing processes

Matched to the requirement, not to inventory.

P-01 / Additive

3D printing

Metal and polymer additive for geometry that cannot be machined: internal channels, lattice cores, consolidated assemblies, and legacy parts with no tooling left. DMLS, SLS, SLA, and industrial FDM.

P-02 / Subtractive

CNC machining

3- and 5-axis milling and turning for tight-tolerance structural and sealing features. The default where fit, finish, and certified wrought material properties matter.

P-03 / Profile

Laser and waterjet cutting

Fiber laser, waterjet, and press brake work for panels, brackets, shims, gaskets, and enclosures — the fastest path from flat stock to a fielded fix.

P-04 / Electronics

PCB fabrication

Rigid, flex, and rigid-flex boards with assembly and test. Domestic fabrication and controlled sourcing available for programs that require it.

P-05 / Volume

Injection molding

Bridge tooling through production molds, with the engine sizing the tooling strategy against your actual volume commitment rather than a catalog tier.

P-06 / Integration

Robotics and assembly

Robotic fastening, potting, bonding, and functional test for multi-part builds delivered as a finished assembly rather than a box of components.

Solutions by need

Start from the problem you actually have.

Obsolescence

The supplier is gone

No drawing, no tooling, no vendor. Bring the part or a photograph of it and receive a documented, reproducible design you own.

Lead time

The quoted date misses the mission

When the catalog says sixteen weeks, the platform finds a process and a facility that can hold the requirement in days.

Single source

One vendor holds the program

Convert a sole-source component into a qualified digital design producible at multiple accredited facilities.

Weight

The part is too heavy

Topology optimization against your real load cases typically removes substantial mass while raising the safety factor.

Iteration

Development is stalled behind CAD

Explore geometry, materials, and processes in the same session instead of across three weeks of engineering handoffs.

Control

The data cannot leave the boundary

Scope a project to domestic, cleared facilities only, with export controls and access rules enforced by the platform.

Tell us what has to exist.

Describe the component, the environment, and the date it is needed. We will come back with a route.
